BU COVID-19 Oral History Project & Archive

Title

BU COVID-19 Oral History Project & Archive

Description

The BU COVID-19 Oral History Project, started in Spring of 2021, to capture and preserve experiences of an extraordinary time in global and local history. The project is committed to representing diverse perspectives of people connected to Bradley University and its surrounding community. To accomplish this goal, a team of students across various majors and disciplines trained to ethically and responsibly collect oral histories. They performed this work wonderfully.

Release forms signed by both narrators and interviewers recognize the Virginius H. Chase Special Collections Center as the repository of this archive and transcription work is underway to make this archive of over 50 interviews accessible to interested researchers around the world. The Special Collections Center wants to add more of your experiences to our archive. We’d love to collect your stories and we also want to add your pictures, social media posts, emails, texts, assignments, art, objects, and anything else that offers a glimpse of your life during the COVID-19 pandemic. An item or anecdote might seem ordinary and unimportant but they do matter. You can catch a glimpse of the archive here: https://sites.google.com/fsmail.bradley.edu/bu-covid-19-oralhistory/home
