Bradley University Homecoming button, 1952

This white and maroon button features a football kicker wearing number 40. The button reads "Homecoming, Bradley U., October 18, 1952, Beat the Tartans." The first Homecoming festivities kicked off November 12, 1921 and Bradley defeated Augustana, 13-0. When Bradley's football program ended in 1970, Homecoming ended too. In 1975, the university revived Homecoming festivities to coincide with basketball season.
