Hortense Wilder escaping dormitory photograph, c. 1930
Title
Hortense Wilder escaping dormitory photograph, c. 1930
Description
This humorous photograph depicts Hortense Wilder escaping her dormitory. Wilder departed from a second-floor window of Laura Cottage, which was Bradley's only housing for female students until Constance Hall opened in 1931. Twenty students called the cottage at 410 West Bradley Avenue home. The structure is now called Sisson House. Hilda Mae Lannom Talmage ('34) donated the photograph. What great lengths a young lady had to go to in sneaking out after hours to meet friends!
