This photograph depicts the Bradley men's basketball team's “Famous Five,” which actually consisted of six players. In the 1936-1937 season five sophomores joined junior Les Getz on the varsity team. Carl Schunk, All-Conference, set a scoring record of 25 points in a game. Charles Orsborn, later became a Bradley coach. Darwin Hutchins, All-American, was best known for his one-hand shot from the pivot line. Theodore Panish, named to eight All-Conference teams in basketball, football and baseball, was the originator of Bradley's stalling tactics. Kenneth Olson, was a hard-driving guard.
